Building Access Checklist — Tell Us Before We Arrive
Apartment junk removal has one variable house cleanouts don’t: building access. When we arrive without a loading dock reservation or elevator hold, the job takes longer and sometimes can’t be completed in the window we’ve both planned for.
Tell us these things when you book:
Some buildings require a service elevator reservation. If yours does, book it before our arrival window — many buildings need 24 hours notice.
If your building has a loading dock, tell us if it's first-come or requires a reservation. We need space for a large truck — not always possible if the dock is occupied or restricted.
We handle stairwells, but a 3rd-floor walkup with a sectional sofa takes longer than a ground-floor apartment with elevator access. Floor and access affect the final price.
If you have a scheduled move-out inspection, book us at least an hour before it. We want the unit clear before management sees it.
Our trucks are large. Know where we can park for the duration of the job — ideally close to the entrance we'll be using.
What to Have Ready When We Arrive
- Your access code, key, or the property manager’s contact
- Elevator or loading dock reservation confirmation, if your building requires one
- A rough list of what’s coming out — so the price we give you before starting is accurate
The more we know before we get there, the faster the job goes and the fewer surprises for both of us. We’ve done apartment cleanouts from Uptown Charlotte to Five Points Raleigh to downtown Greensboro — call with your building’s specifics.
