Mattress Removal in Charlotte — How It Works
We take mattresses and box springs in any size, plus bed frames, headboards, and futons. No bagging, no wrapping, no dragging anything to the curb — we come into the bedroom and carry it out. Most single-mattress Charlotte jobs are done in well under half an hour.
Why Curbside Usually Isn’t the Answer
Mecklenburg County bulk collection runs on a schedule, and a mattress sitting at the curb between pickup days is both an eyesore and a liability. Plenty of apartment communities in South End and University City prohibit curb staging outright. Booking a pickup means the mattress goes from the bedroom to the truck without ever sitting outside.
Charlotte Access, Building by Building
Bed removal is almost always an upstairs job. Two-story homes in Ballantyne, Steele Creek, and Cotswold mean a king mattress coming down a switchback stair — that’s a two-person carry and we plan for it. Myers Park, Eastover, and Dilworth often have older stairwells with tight landings where a box spring has to go up on edge to make the turn.
South End, NoDa, and Uptown buildings depend on freight elevator access and posted move-out hours, so tell us the building’s rules when you book and we won’t lose the window. University City runs heaviest around lease turnover, when we’re often clearing several units in a single day.
Recycling Instead of Landfill
Mattresses are among the worst things to landfill — bulky, they don’t compact, and the steel, foam, and fiber inside are all recoverable. We route mattresses to recycling wherever a processor is available in the market. Anything genuinely soiled or bedbug-affected has to go to disposal instead, for handling reasons.
Booking a Charlotte Mattress Pickup
Same-day and next-day slots are usually available. If you’re replacing a bed, book us for the same day the new one is delivered so you’re not working around an old mattress in the hallway. One mattress or a whole houseful, the crew and the truck are the same.
