Hot Tub Removal in Raleigh — Cut, Load, Haul

Hot tub removal is demolition work. We cut the shell into sections, separate the cabinet and frame, and load everything in a single visit. You don’t need to drain, dismantle, or move anything beforehand, though a drained tub does speed the job up.

Kill the Power First

Hot tubs run on a dedicated 220V circuit. Shut that breaker off before we arrive. We don’t perform electrical disconnects and we won’t cut into a tub that’s still energized — if you’re unsure whether the circuit is dead, have an electrician confirm it. That’s the one thing that reliably stops a job on arrival.

Deck, Patio, and Access in Raleigh

Where the tub sits decides how long it takes. North Hills, Five Points, and Cameron Village homes often have a tub set into a raised rear deck or a fenced courtyard, so sections come out by hand through a gate. North Raleigh, Brier Creek, and Wakefield properties usually have ground-level patios with driveway access — the fastest version of this job. Midtown and Glenwood South townhouses are the tightest, with narrow side yards and shared alleys. We cover Cary, Apex, Garner, Knightdale, Wake Forest, and Durham on the same routes.

Sunken and Built-In Tubs

A tub built into decking or ringed by hardscape takes longer than a freestanding one. We cut the shell down where it sits rather than trying to lift it out whole. Any decking that has to come off for access gets identified and priced before we start, not after.

What Happens to the Material

Acrylic shell, wood or synthetic cabinet, foam insulation, pumps, heaters, and framing all separate into different waste streams. Metal components go to recycling. The rest goes to disposal, and the pad or deck the tub sat on is left clear.

Why Junk Doctors

Why Customers Choose Us.

1

We Cut It Apart On Site

Hot tubs can't fit through most gates whole. Our Raleigh crew does the on-site teardown — cutting the shell into sections before loading and hauling.

2

Kill the 220V Breaker First

Pull the dedicated breaker for the hot tub and leave it off before our crew arrives. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, have a licensed electrician disconnect at the panel. We confirm power is off before we start any work around the unit.

Yes — please drain the water before our crew arrives. The hot tub should be empty before teardown begins.
Yes. We work through gate openings routinely. The teardown process cuts the shell into sections that fit through standard gate widths.
The power supply needs to be unplugged before we arrive. Pull the dedicated circuit breaker and leave it off. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, have a licensed electrician disconnect at the panel. We confirm power is off before we start any work around the unit.
Pricing is based on size and complexity. We quote on-site before starting any work, and you approve the price before teardown begins.
By volume. The price is based on how much space your items take up in the truck. We give you a firm number on-site before we lift anything — no surprises.
Yes — text us photos and we can give you a ballpark range before anyone comes out. Keep in mind it's a range, not a firm price. The crew does a quick on-site look before quoting a final number, because volume and access factors like stairs or tight hallways affect the total in ways a photo can't always show.
Yes. We quote it, you approve it, we load it — all in one visit. No second trip needed.
Credit card, check, or cash. Payment is collected on-site after the job is done and you've approved the final price.
