What to Expect on Raleigh Appliance Pickups
Raleigh routes run Monday through Saturday with morning and afternoon arrival windows. When you call, tell us what you have and where it sits in the house. That determines crew size and truck capacity. A single refrigerator typically runs about a quarter of a truck; a full kitchen and laundry clear-out fills most of one.
Disconnection Is on You Before We Arrive
Water supply valves shut off and hoses pulled. Gas lines capped by a licensed plumber or your gas company. We don’t work on active gas lines. Electric appliances unplugged or switched off at the breaker. We don’t perform plumbing, electrical, or gas work on site, but once the unit is disconnected and reachable, the lift, the stairs, the truck, and the disposal are ours.
Access Is the Real Variable in Raleigh
The housing stock decides how long an appliance job takes. Basement and kitchen pickups in the older Oakwood and Five Points bungalows mean narrow staircases and tight doorways that predate modern appliance sizes. North Hills and Midtown high-rises are the opposite problem: normal-sized units, but elevators and loading dock hours to work around.
Cameron Village, Brier Creek, and North Raleigh run to ground-floor garage access and are usually the fastest jobs we run. Apartment communities along the Glenwood South and Wakefield corridors turn over constantly, and we’re on those routes several days a week. Cary, Apex, and Garner are on the same runs.
Where Raleigh Appliances Actually Go
Appliances from Raleigh pickups go to certified recyclers. Refrigerants are captured, metals are processed, and working units sometimes go to resellers rather than straight to scrap. Appliances don’t get landfilled when a proper recycling path is available.
Pricing Is Set Before Anything Moves
We look at the items, factor in access (stairs, hallway width, basement versus ground floor), and give you a firm number. You approve it before we lift anything. Pricing reflects the actual load rather than a per-item list, so clearing a kitchen and a laundry room in one visit costs less than booking them separately.
